Refund and Cancellation Policy

The service described on this website is provided by Fast Kitchen Design, operated by RenderFactor LLC. This policy explains when you can cancel, when we refund, and how to ask. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Our first answer to a design you are not happy with is not a refund, it is another revision. Revisions are unlimited and free while the project scope stays the same, and most concerns are resolved that way within a business day. The sections below cover what happens when that is not the right outcome.

Per-design orders

Designs ordered individually, at the flat per-design rate, are refundable as follows:

• Before work begins. Cancel an order we have not started and we refund it in full, no questions asked.
• While work is in progress. Cancel mid-design and we refund the portion of the fee that reflects work not yet performed.
• After delivery. A delivered design is put right through revisions, which are unlimited and free while the scope is unchanged. If the delivered work does not match the measurements, specifications, and instructions you submitted, and we cannot correct it through revisions, we refund that design in full.

A material change in scope, such as a new layout or additional rooms, is a new design rather than a revision, and is charged and refundable on its own terms.

Annual Plan: the First-Design Guarantee

The Annual Plan carries a First-Design Guarantee. Buy the plan, submit your first project, and if the design we deliver, after revisions on us, is not the best design work your shop has had, we refund the full plan price. No forms. No argument.

To claim it, tell us after your first design is delivered and its revisions are complete. We refund the full amount you paid for the plan to your original payment method.

The Annual Plan does not auto-renew. It is one payment covering twelve months, and renewing is your decision at the end of the term. Cancelling partway through the term stops future use of the plan; designs already delivered are not refundable once the First-Design Guarantee window has passed, because the work has been performed and the files are yours to keep and use.

Prepaid design credits

Design credits bought in advance through the client portal work as stored value:

• Credits are valid for 12 months from the purchase date and expire automatically after that. Expired credits cannot be reinstated.
• Each credit is redeemed for the design of one room, and is applied automatically as work is delivered.
• Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• A credit that has been redeemed for a delivered design is not refundable; that design is covered by the per-design terms above.
• Unredeemed credits may be refunded at our discretion, and are refunded where required by applicable law.

Cancellation

There are no contracts, minimums, or cancellation fees. You can stop sending us work at any time, and you keep every file we have delivered, including the native 2020 Flex files. Closing your account does not forfeit a refund you were already owed.

How to request a refund

Email hello@fastkitchendesign.com or call (213) 579-5500 and tell us which order or project is involved and what went wrong. A person reads it. We acknowledge refund requests within two business days and decide within five.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, in the currency of the original charge. We issue the refund within five business days of approving it; how long it then takes to appear on your statement is set by your bank or card issuer, and is typically a further five to ten business days. We do not charge a fee to process a refund.

Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. We would rather fix the design or refund you directly, and we can usually do it faster than a chargeback can. If a dispute is opened, we will provide the project record and correspondence to the payment processor.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect when you place an order is the one that applies to that order. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
